Pet Photographer

My journey in photography began when I was in the 4th grade when I was inspired to take up photography after seeing the photography of National Geographic Magazine. I was captivated by images of the natural world on its glossy pages. For many years I freelanced as a photojournalist covering issues nationally and internationally. After many intense experiences doing this work I wanted to slow down and change what I take photos of.

In 2020 I got a Master's degree in Fine Arts with a specialization in photography. I crafted new creative ways of seeing and I wanted to share that with the world.

Not too long ago i was doing marketing work for my headshot photography business at my friend nimisha’s house. While attempting to get work done Nimisha’s dog Lulu came by and closed my laptop on me and wanted to play! It was then that I had a flash of inspiration. Fine art pet photography!

I could use my photography experience combined with my formal education to created images of pets the their owners will love for years to come. Photojournalism often deals with the problems of this world. Now I am using my camera to show what we value in this world.

Soon after I returned to photography lulu with the same lighting equipment that I use for human subjects. And here is Lulu’s first Fine Art Pet portrait!

Thank you Lulu!

Gratuitous photo of Lulu in Ikea!
